Although I agree with why we need to keep the gate locked at the track, I think it is a bit of a safety issue. As someone who will typically ride during the week when there isnt many people around, locking it behind me makes me feel unsafe. What happens if someone bails and needs an ambulance to attend? Do they have keys? 5 or 10 minutes to find a key is a long time, and in certain circumstances could be terrible. I will follow the rules if I have to, but I thought I would bring this to peoples attention and see what is said. Braaap.

The Gate Key is usually as accessible, or should, as a cell phone to call the ambulance. You should never be riding alone, and anybody riding in facility should generally have a key. More often than not, accidents occur to, or because of people that should not be there in the first place. I understand what your saying, as it is a possibility, however in this day and age where people will sue you for everything under the sun, tracks have to try and keep people out who should not be there. This is much along the same lines as a member of a track, if you bring somebody in who is not a member to ride, its your responsibility to make sure they get a day pass and sign the waiver form. Either way Ride Safe. |

I would never ride alone. EVER! I have never brought anyone to the track that wasnt a member. Other than last year, I have been a member of the track since 1992. I have seen many rules an ideas and people pass through the facility. Honestly, I will dummy lock the gate behind me and police the facility, but I wont lock myself in!! I look forward to a fun safe season for all.

i dont ride alone!!! never have and definatly will never will (often crash alot ahaha) like i said i always usually have a parent there with cell phone at hand. also must say almost all the time i go there when theres already people there. 9/10 times its dummied!. even when locked i still patrol the track as one time when doing my loop around the fence area before i went on the tack, i saw a few trail riders in clearly goon like appearal who were not supposed to be on property were sneeking in!!! i told my dad and we actually barricaded them! and asked them to leave and they did. i understand legal issue and do generally oblige to the rules but there still is a saftey issue!. what if a rider was knocked out or had a neck injury and only one person is there with the rider... are they supposed to just leave to let the ambulence in? one would think a quike call to 911 and attend to a rider who is supposed to be there is just as important
