Around Nanoose I think, I live in Shawnigan/Cobble Hill but I believe Nanaimo is still my home track, which is one hour away as oppsed to westshore which is 30-35minutes... But I think the cutoff is at the Malahat if I remember, there all pretty weird. And I think ports memberships are $100? I believe thats what they were last time I was on their site.

ya their shit is wacked. last year in ther emali about home tracks said i can technically still qaulify as campbell river for a membership. i have always been told nanaimo is my home track and for 3 years i have gladly bought one. but in the past year with the lack of grooming and maintaining the track i dont think i want a membership. its already march and they are aprently finally going to groom!!!. the track is finally soft move the dirt and remodel the track make new jumps and improve it!!! track is getting so old hasnt been changed in forever. i m stoked to get a port membership, they regularly groom, track drains better, track usually gets new sections here and there. and the cost is worth what you get. sorry i dont want to spend hundreds of dollars for like 5 months of riding on a track that doesnt get groomed or touched unless its a race weekend. perhaps next year i will purchase one after they realize people dont want spend money on it and put time into it making it worth while again. PM me id gladly come to a work party. i know theres one this weekend might have to come

Guy's, the new Nanaimo club executive are making track condition a priority this year....it WILL get better. The track direction will be reversed within a couple of weeks and there are plans for a couple of exciting changes to the track. However it takes time. This is a volunteer club and man power and machine resources are very limited. There was a work party last Sunday and the turnout was pretty dismal as usual. They will be having another work party on Saturday, the 13th. Come on out and HELP. Things at Nanaimo can only get better, here's looking forward to an great season of MX. Russ

Can't wait for the Nanaimo open house on the 21st to see what they've done, and wait till you see the new straights jeff added at westshore, should be a fun race there on sunday, if all goes well I should be there on my new 2010 RM-Z250.

Nanaimo track changes start this weekend. The track direction is being reverted back to the original direction. The track will be closed this weekend (11th & 12th) and probably the following week and weekend as well depending on how well the work on the track proceeds. There will be a work party at the track on the 11th...ALL welcome to attend. The planned open house on the 21st is obviously postponed at the moment. It MAY be held on May 1st, that is the day before the first Nanaimo race. Russ

your right with the Nanaimo cutoff extending to the Malahat being weird. It started at south of Duncan , then they wanted to Goldstream after that i said whatever.
